Tupac Biopic All Eyez On Me Casts Dominic L. Santana as Suge Knight
LOS ANGELES, CA (January 14, 2016) – Dominic L. Santana will portray Suge Knight in the highly anticipated Tupac Shakur biopic All Eyez On Me.
The story will include Tupac’s rise to fame as a hip-hop artist and actor, as well as his imprisonment and his time at Death Row Records, which will showcase some of the East Coast/West Coast rap war.
The Benny Boom directed biopic stars Demetrius Shipp Jr. as Tupac.
The film is produced by James G Robinson and David Robinson of Morgan Creek and LT Hutton and is already underway in Atlanta, with Open Road distributing. Afeni Shakur is an executive producer.
“I’m very excited to be a part of such an iconic story and piece of music history. Whenever a biopic is made you have to approach it with respect to the people you are portraying, but also bring the role to a new level for those who aren’t familiar with the life and times of the historical figures. I can’t wait for the world to see it and connect to our characters and the story,” states Santana.
Fans will recognize other faces such as The Walking Dead’s Danai Gurira as Tupac’s mother, Afeni Shakur. Jamal Woodard (Notorious) will reprise his role as Biggie. Kat Graham (Vampire Dairies) will play Shakur’s long-time friend Jada Pinkett-Smith.
Santana’s other credits include The Dempsey Sisters, Love For Sale, The Game, One Tree Hill and Dead Heist. He also wrote and had a part in Mr. Right starring Columbus Short.
Dominic Santana is repped by the Hurd Agency.
